Don't you wish you were a kid again? They are so fearless. Especially boys. I've had to sit back and watch while Justin tried skateboard tricks when he could barely ride the board itself. There was the one winter when Justin tried snowboarding. Another winter when Justin decided to go down the steep Riverdale hill and suddenly disappeared because he didn't see the drop from the top of the hill. He got the wind knocked out of him but thankfully no broken bones. When he goes rollerblading he likes to do tricks then as well. His newest thing now is to jump over things. As long as the object is no higher than his waist he will jump it.
Now Julian is following in big brother's footsteps. Lucky me. :(
Julian has been asking for rollerblades for quite awhile now. I've held off buying them for as long as I could but today he finally got a pair from his Uncle Tracy. He was so excited when he tried them on and realized they actually fit! He wanted to use them immediately, so we had to go out in the freezing cold so he could try them out. He did extremely well for his first time rollerblading. But now that he can rollerblade he is going to naturally start doing jumps and tricks on them. I videotaped his first attempt at rollerblading but had some trouble posting it to the blog. So here is a pic instead.
